Updates, where you go? #Dragoncon 2009 baby!

Ok, disappeared for 3 months, as usual. I was finishing out a marketing contract which was taking close to 70 hours a week to deal, no time to update. With the holidays coming up, I am here to stay! Updates to start...later today! :)

The big thing is Dragoncon 2009, I went, I saw, I developed new fetishes. Want to hear my review?

So where to begin? I think with some pros and cons.

  1. Steampunk revolution everywhere!
  2. Tons of people doing Thriller dance and breaking the record
  3. The long beard Star Trek panel guy!
  • Felicia Day... (Just looked at website...she has glasses pic!!! *bites lip*) Claudia Christian
  • All the music...Voltaire (and being beat up with a stuffed animal by the master goth), Abney Park, Marc Gunn (Kilted for her Pleasure), Bedlam Bards, MC Chris... If you watch the MC Chris Nrrrrdgirl Video and find it describes you, or you look like the girls in the video, please contact me ASAP so I can begin worshipping you!
  • Who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS! ... I own but havn't done NOTHING with it. BLEH! So many ghostbusters, I think like 20-30 in the parade, including female Ghostbusters and some GORGEOUS decked at Janine Melnitz cosplay!
  • My "Bam said the Lady" campaign for Toys for Tots was HUGE! I expected to get 20 or so pictures, call it a day...I ended up carrying in the entire con, getting videos of people holding a Cheeta saying "Bam said the Lady". More on this when I figure out how to edit videos! :)
  • Barry Bostwick calling as all f*ckers at the start of Rocky Horror!
  • Sparkley Vampire Jokes on EVERY DAMN PANEL
  • Natalie almost taking out Shatner with some beads, Shatner called her "Violent"
  • Froggy Photos getting their just-deserts
  • Harley Quinns... Original, Arkham Nurse outfits, Zombie Quinn...and my favorite, a 50's style Harley Quinn on a lovely girl named Sunny! Was totally my favorite costume (see below, somewhere).
  • Free Shrugs Man...$1 for Deluxe Shrugs (it was worth it)
  • 5 Hour energy shots, Vitamin Gummies, the Farmers Market sauteed honey chicken in Peachtree Center food court (this was my diet for 5 days).
  • Cons of the Con -

    1. Steampunk cosplayers were 'snoody', cause they are in the 'trendy genre'.
    2. 9/10 Dragoncon staff telling you to get into line, only 1/10 knowing WHERE the line is for you to get into!
    3. Rocky Horror Picture show... Some drunk guy was going row to row, SCREAMING in peoples faces what he thought was the FUNNIEST comebacks...he personally cleared out at least 300 people
    4. Waiting in like 3 hours to go to Rocky Horror!!!
    5. Crazy zombie girl that cut in line for Claudia Christian while I was trying to find out WHERE the line was...she started screaming at me "No cuts, back of the line" which insued a MOB mentality of everyone screaming at me...she managed to get a seat a whole row infront of me, but is going to get b*tched by my Karma :)
    6. Froggy Photos not supporting charities like Toys for Tots...then making us sit around for 5 hours to get a picture that Natalie basically had to crop/print herself
    7. Sheraton Hotel 2 blocks away...they claimed there would be shuttles, I saw no shuttles! ... Only 5 minute walk, but when you have -5 minutes between panels plus 2 hours lines, every second counts.
    8. Star Trek karaoke, with everyone singing Elton John songs AS William Shatner... I never wanna hear Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds AGAIN! ... Ok, I never wanted to hear it before this either, but now I don't want to hear it on whole new levels!
    9. Bus route to my hotel ran from 6am-9pm, all the good music happend at midnight or later!
    10. >
    11. All the guys at CON wearing a Charlie Brown yellow shirt with zig zag stripe and not a SINGLE ONE was bald. Come on... That was beyond lazy!

Things I learned for Next Year -

    1. Stay in a local hotel so you can change clothes and go dancing, instead of carrying survival pack with you non stop.
    2. Wear a sign that tells girls to kiss you...THEY WILL!

Probaly more, I will update/repost this once I clear the rest of my head out! Was definately a great vacation...

And they never saw it coming, but you did

Because your cutting edge EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles let you.
Now this awesome tool kicks up Hide and Seek to a new level, no more does nightfall mean the game has to end. With Rainbow Six like precision, this nifty dandy toy. Lets take sneak over there and see what they have to say about it..

With the EyeClops Night Vision goggles, your child can explore dark environments with advanced infrared technology. Set-up is easy. Simply insert five AA batteries into the battery pack at the back of the head-set, and slide the power switch to turn on the goggles. Once the screen display lights up inside of the right eye-piece, you can fit the goggles to your child's head by adjusting the soft rubber straps around top and sides.

EyeClops Night Vision goggles come equipped with a hinged, flip-up eye-piece that can be opened when the goggles are turned off, or closed when the goggles are in use. Your child can choose between the maximum surveillance mode which emits a barely-visible ring of red LEDs around the eyepiece so they can see up to 50 feet in absolute darkness, or go for the stealth mode to remain completely invisible while they explore the dark landscape immediately around them. A small switch on the side of the goggle head-set allows them to switch from a black-and-white to a green screen display.

    Enhance Your Nighttime Stealth Operations
The futuristic design of the durable plastic head-piece adds to the fun of these exciting night vision goggles. Soft rubber molding around the goggles and adjustable straps across the top and sides makes them comfortable and easy to wear. --
WOW 50 ft is like, almost half the backyard!! And where do those clunky batteries fit?

Quite cozily in the back of course, leaving your hands free for your Nerf or Super Soaker, or Laser Tag guns to find your friends, family, or bothersome siblings in the dark. We didn’t have anything nearly this awesome when I was a kid; we just had the old “Maro” “Polo” method. Great for indoor, outdoor, and rainy day use. Take a look at this..

Now isn’t that just fear inspiring!! The red LED can be turned on or off, for stealth mode and more covert ops. Sure beats using a flashlight to find the bathroom at night.
Now, I’d love to stick around, but Tom Clancy called, and he wants to play ‘Capture the Spy’ He won’t even see me coming…

Have you got your MPPGES? Rock old school mario in STYLE!

How would you like to play all the games for NES, SNES, Game boy, Mega-Drive, Neo-Geo and MORE all on a single system for a single price? ... You are drooling already and counting out hundreds of dollars, I know, but SLOW DOWN. It's only $130!!! My birthday is next month and this puppy is on my list big time. ... Mario 3, River City Ransom, Shining Force, KARATE CHAMP! ... I am literally making a list. WAIT! How about all the Metal Slugs?
    Buy me, buy me now!
    Want all the gooey details???

The MPPGES is a NES, SNES, Game boy, Mega-Drive, Neo-Geo and more as it is a portable emulator system with a 2.8 inch QVGA LCD screen, proper control pad and buttons along with a huge 4 GB internal memory, capable of storing thousands of cool videogame ROM’s from the most popular 8-bit and 16-bit systems. Also this isn’t just for gaming as you can use it as a media player too, all you need to do is plug in a mini-SD card or transfer media from your computer and you can quickly be enjoying movies and music on the go.

The unit supports FLV, WMV, ASF, RM, AVI, MPEG, MP4, RMVB, SWF, MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC and comes in Black and White versions. ... What else could make this cooler? FM Radio? GOT IT! Voice that too! How about hooking it up to your TV? It has svideo OUTPUT so you can be playing games on full screen!

This is NOT me playing. I can rock Super Mario World, but I needed a quick sample of graphic/speed/sound quality. If someone gets me one for my birthday, I'll post my own videos.

I have seen on ebay auctioning for $.99 (with reserve) along with some BIN for $80-$130 depending on the day. Click here to check what prices are today! Check the sellers LOCATION and SHIPPING times, as usually the $20 less will take you another 2 weeks for delays coming from overseas.

    Pure imagination

Not a toy update, more a 'life' update. Life has been BUSY! I went full force into my toy business for about...3 weeks, then I got a second job. It pays less then the first but it's a family thing... Now that things are...less in need of me, i'm going to be focusing back on the toys. This means...

More and FREQUENT blog posts, both txt and video. Plus I need to prepare for Dragoncon. I have some great promotional ideas I want to do, with a few companies I need to get in touch with. I'll inform you when I know more. Updates coming...SOON!

    That's it, really!

    Q&A cause I'm bored!

I've had alot of new people added lately to my Myspace, eBay blog, Blogspot, and whatever other RSS feeds I got and they keep asking questions...they want to know me! I've been on computers sense I was 4, I've been on a nationwide network of computers before internet existed...maybe the whole facination is gone with getting to know 'virtual people'. Granted, I have met some great people with the computer, but i've never blog stalked... ... oh wait...there was that one time... ... Nevermind *laugh*.

Q: Why start a toy store?
A: Growing up, I had a slinky and I was proud to have it! ... I'm living my second freakin childhood here! I have multiple rooms with wall to wall toys. I have wind up pacman toys...I got to play with a fully assembled Voltron that was made the same year I was born! ... I got a Chuck Norris action figure. What nerd wouldn't want this life?

Q: Did you always want to run a business?
A: I've always wanted to do something 'eventful'...PCD = Productive Compulsive Disorder... If I got more then X amount of hours without doing something to better it ebay, exercise, read a book, meditate...SOMETHING. I go alittle stir crazy.

Q: Is this your fulltime business?
A: Sort of. It is my primary source of income, but I only spend 10-15 hours a week on it. My secondary job takes most of my time... ... but within the next few months that job will either be paying better or my hours severely cut so I can get back into my toys!

Q: How/why did you get into toys?
A: I use to hit the flea market ALOT setting up. Started with around the house items, then straight martial art equipment, then KEYCHAINS (until the keychain rack fell on my head and caused bleeding)... I hit an auction and picked up a mix of items. Mostly old books, some comics, then a handful of old McFarlane toys. The latter sold out instantly... Then I saw some kids walking around with some cards, I asked about them and what they paid... It was Magic the Gathering... I had done some importing/sales of pokemon in the day, but never knew how many kids were into CCG. ... Started importing to sell eye balling any big toy scores...

I got a job working for free (I got store credit) at the late, not so create, comic book store at the Salisbury Mall. I used this as a learning experience on what products sell and how to understand the desire for certain items such as toys/statues/comics. I took the products I earned working there and started my toy selling online. This was back in like...2003ish.

    Q: What makes you happy?
A: Random people I don't know on the street asking me how i'm doing... Gives me hope that I'm not the only nice guy out there!!!

    Q: What makes you sad?
A: People who spend more time complaining about how horrible their life is without actually doing anything to fix it!

Q: What is your favorite toy?
A: ... I dunno. I don't personally collect alot of items, I mostly just sell... Not really toys but some of my 'prized possessions that have no price...well, no LOW price' would be... My Yoda bean bag pillow, my M&M coffee mug, my Scrooge McDuck christmas ornament... That is all I can think of right now.

Q: Can I have free stuff?
    A: Get a job hippie!

... That's all for now... I thought there was more questions, but that's all I have in my emails. Anything else you want to know? Ask!

Want to get some free toys? Know how to photoshop?

Hi there! As usual, I am trying to advance the quality of the items I sell and need some help. I came up with a quick measuring tool for my miniatures and realised that it could be useful for a variety of toys!!! I have a quick job for someone...if you have avid photoshop and math skills, and would like some FREE TOYS, click for more.

Ok. Basically I want to combine these sorta...

I don't want SKELETONS thou. I want TOYS! I think if you use the full width of the paper you could put 5 rulers. First a 1" army man, a 2" Lego figure, next a classic 4.5" GI Joe, next 7" Marvel Legends, finally a 9" Star Trek maybe? If only room for 4, cut out army man. Sizes are rough estimate but you know what I mean. My logo/font on top and look "pretty". I don't want too many colors to distract from what i'm taking pictures of. That image I have there is actually like 6" just cause I wanted to scaled to view. Simple issue of using a ruler in your photo editor and draw a line across for each inch from 1-8".

If anyone wants the job...well, let's make it fun! Make it up, submit it via comment, and if I choose your entry you will get a $15 certificate to use at or a $5 gas card! ... That's all I got handy :). Enjoy!

This is what I made...and I like it alot more then I thought I would... Anyone else have some ideas? Let's see em!

Entertainment Earth! Big Sale! Big Deals! Big...PUPPETS!

I was threatened with 'bonk'age over twitter for not mentioned EE happenings. I'm unsure if I should be afraid or slightly aroused by this threat, but either way, something SHOULD be mentioned, right?

There is too much too list actually...and time is limited as always, so if I had only ONE item to pick from all the sales on Buffy, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings... My toy pic of the day is... ( FULL REVIEW!)

Star Trek Tek Classic PhaserWith the incredibly awesome Star Trek movie coming out soon, everyone needs at least 2 of these...1 for you, and another for you for when the first one gets knocked out of your hand during an epic struggle to get in line for a ticket at your local cinaplex.

Star Trek Tek Classic Phaser Description:

    • Authentic phaser with detachable mini hand phaser. Yes!
    • Adjustable lights and sounds.
    • "Stun" all your trekkie friends! (my girl giggled at this...nerd)

This phaser is "stunning"! It's the original 2-in-1 design with detachable mini hand phaser. This officially licensed Star Trek series weapon features a Type-1 mini hand phaser that separates from the Type-2 pistol. For maximum authenticity, it's a full-scale reproduction modeled after the initial Star Trek prop. With realistic beam lights, sound effects, and adjustable power settings, this awesome replica is one of our best-selling items. You need one and so do all your friends. But remember: Always treat phasers as if they were fully loaded with nadions-- it's fun until someone puts an eye out!

To activate the sound, you must remove the plastic display tab and turn on the hand phaser. (This is done by clicking the far right dial forward toward the front of the pistol.) To trigger the lights, rotate the front dial forward.

Collectable glasses from Welch's, Tom and Jerry and DINOSAURS!

    Don’t Welch on this deal!!

Oh yess! I found these drinking gems on and I immediately needed a PB & J like Mommy used to make.

What’s so exciting about glasses you ask?

Well, years ago (and do mean a few million years.. arount like 1984/85 million B.C) caveman made crude drawings on their cave drinking ware. Think of it as ancient Starbucks!

Archaeologist from Welch’s later unearthed, restored, cleaned, then filled and sealed these glasses with grape and strawberry jelly. It wasn’t just a jelly storage device, but also one of the coolest ways to make a kid want PB & J for every meal, just so the could drink with the prehistoric awesomeness of the Stegosaurus.

And it wasn’t just the big Steggysore that got to be immortalized in sweet grape filled history.

The classic duel of mouse versus cat was immortalized as well..

That’s right!! Tom and Jerry were immortalized in sugar laden glory and played their hijinks on breakfast and lunch tables everywhere. You can find both these sets of immortalized, dishwasher safe sweet jellified goodliness at
Mmm wow.. I gotta go call Mom.. I wanna sammitch..

Off with their heads - The True Game of Life and Death

    Off with their heads

The classic struggle to hang one another in a battle of wits that only ends when you’ve got them by the neck.

All you have to do is spell their word, before they spell yours! Of course for every wrong guess the noose tightens just a bit, so make every guess count. Don’t worry; they have to fight their own demise by spelling your word correctly too. It‘s a struggle of executioner versus executioner, may the best word guesser win. It’s like Wheel of Fortune, but the penalty for picking the wrong letters is death by asphyxiation, so grab a buddy, grab your brain, and dare to stare death in the face and spell your own fate. Tighten the noose, letter by letter, turn by turn of your executioners dial

A little history on the maker..
Milton Bradley Company. Milton Bradley, a lithographer, started business in 1860 in Springfield, MA. He enjoyed early success when he packaged a series of games, including THE CHECKERED GAME OF LIFE, in a pocket-sized game pack (the country's first "travel" game) designed for soldiers during the Civil War.

Following the end of the depression in 1879, Milton Bradley kept pace with the rapid changes in theories of education, and his company produced school supplies and optical toys in addition to educational games for youngsters and their families. His was the most prolific company of the period, and by 1900 he had incorporated, with offices in New York, Kansas, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.

The Milton Bradley story is a great American success story. In addition to its early successes and its television games, Milton Bradley introduced many other games which have become classics, including: HANGMAN, BATTLESHIP, CONCENTRATION, CONNECT FOUR, THE GAME OF INDIA, THE GAME OF LIFE, MOUSETRAP, OPERATION, PASSWORD, RACKO, SIMON, STRATEGO, TWISTER, and YAHTZEE (which it acquired when it bought the E.S. Lowe Company).

In 1984, the Milton Bradley Company was bought by Hasbro, ending 124 years of family ownership; the company continues to manufacture games at its Springfield plant.
    Thanks from

So, own a piece of vintage board game history, and watch your friends swing by their wits. I loved this game as a child, and it is one of the great ‘edutainment’ style games that make learning fun by adding an element of danger for not having good vocabulary. It’s a fun all ages game, that is easy to set up, a great way to teach children better vocabulary while also appealing to their imagination and encouraging them to be intuitive as well. The classics never die, and this day and age with the advent of television and internet, it’s always good to take a technological break, and get back to the classic, sit down, person to person, eye to eye board game where you can sit there and watch them sweat, live and in person. Watch the fear go up with every turn of the dial. Well, I got to go, I think I have this one figured out.. T_E E_D

Repost for from Freelance Forum for blogging help!

I was looking for someone to blog for me. My primary site is a "Toy Review" site. I need articles that focus on 2-4 product/product lines at a time, 600-800 word average per articles with picture links. You can see the site at . I am working on the template in the next few weeks to make things 'prettier', but I am so busy with my work to keep up content on the site. I basically need someone to...check google trends for hot keywords related with TOYS, then research the toy, cut/paste a short description from manufacture, then type up 1 paragraph of a 'personal opinion' of the toy, along with another paragraph of 'why you/your kids would want this toy'. ... Also my ebay store is, which any products I have listed on there would also be great to write articles about.

I'd probably buy 3-10 articles at a time, then just save/list them every few days. If the articles get a decent response, that means my revenue will increase, which means I'll be willing to spend more money on of economics :). I am checking out a few different people, so if you have interest, give me a quote on a 'per article' basis, what kind of discount you'd offer if I purchased bulk (say 6 articles at a time), and what kind of turn around time you would offer. I'd be willing to start this job as early as next week. Have a great day!

Email price quote and sample work to -

    That is all! HEH!

New World Of Warcraft Series 5 figures up with know you wanna look ;)

New figure set! Some out, some being preordered! Being released by DC Direct, I'd say this is one of the nicest detailing jobs they have managed so far!

World of Warcraft Deluxe Illidan (Demon Form) Action Figure World of Warcraft Series 5 Scourge Ghoul Action Figure World of Warcraft Series 5 Alliance Hero Action Figure World of Warcraft Series 5 Night Elf Hunter Action Figure

What...I gave you the thumbnails and links. You want more? Ok, sense you were nice enough to click... They are actually doing a figure set where you can grab the Ghoul, Hunter and Hero all in one!

You could try to find things on ebay, but I'd recommend going straight through a supplier like Entertainment Earth to assure mint quality. Some of the old Warcraft III items I bought from Gamestop I resold for 4X original MSRP, I think these figures will go up fast...probaly by next expension.

Transformers 2 the Movie causes toy Economy to rise!

I'm sorry, but while the new 'recetion' has hit, my toy sales have tripled. Why? The warm fuzzy me likes to think, that no matter how hard things are, people want to make sure their kids have something cool to play with... ... but I know I'm probaly selling to all those bail out CEO's that always wished they could have a complete 1981 diecast Voltron NRFB... ... But whatever you finances, this is a money maker here. Lots of new transformer toys BUT the movie isn't out for almost 4 months. Buy now, sell later!!! Trust me!

I kinda like this thought...I could give you my 'guess' on what products are going to be popular/valuable in the future. like a stock picker...except with a product that goes UP in value...

Not wanting to BOG you down with too much information, so let's just start with one...the big one...that's right, MEGATRON! This awesome figure is cheap now but probaly be selling close to $80-$90 come mid June! If you see for under <$40, buy and save!

Watchmen toys and statues have been released!!!

Am I the only one excited to the point of frequent bathroom breaks over the Watchmen movie? ... *crickets* ... What? You don't know about the Watchmen? What rock have you been under? Obviously you havn't been under my rock! HAHA!

This is a bust from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons masterful comic coming to movie screens everywhere come March! ROUGH story...what if we had Super Heroes for WWII? ... There is more to it, but if that don't grab you, what will? Want to see all the figures coming out??? Just click below!

You got Nite Owl, Ozymandias, Rorschach and Silk Spectre in this set. These are your main 'heroes'. Incase you can't tell by details and names, this is a variant of the DC universe. Let's see if wikipedia can summarize the story better then my ramblings...

"The story is set in an alternate 1985 where superheroes exist, Richard Nixon is still president, Vietnam was won by the South, and tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union are at an all-time high. The vigilante Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley) is investigating the murder of a former hero, the Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), and uncovers a plot to discredit and murder various heroes. Rorschach discovers a far wider-ranging conspiracy involving his colleagues' past which could completely change the course of history."

Again, why havn't you bought your ticket yet? Still not convinced this could be the greatest superhero movie of all time? ... Then check out Dr. Manhattan in the black and BLUE! Doesn't look too threatning right? Click the trailer below and tell me if he doesn't rock!!! :)

Great comic, great movie, great toys...I think someone FINALLY got it all right!... But just incase, there is already customs appearing on ebay!!!

What goes down stairs and forms the head? Click for my top 5 toys!

OK! I"M DONE! That inventory took longer then I thought... So now, onto the toys? Any requests for reviews? ... I'm trying to think back. I have been asking people lately "What toy did you play with growing up?"...and I had the hardest time thinking an answer for myself. I had alot of toys, but mostly simple things... SO! Here is a list of MY favorite toys growing up! 5? I like top 5's!

    #5 - Slinky - It's Slinky, it's slinky! Fun for a girl AND a boy...

I had the classic metal. I use to jump rope with that. THat's how REAL MEN jumproped, hehehe! I hated stairs...fell down them alot. But I would love having that slinky jump step per step...but if that slinky ever STOPPED mid way, it would ruin your WHOLE DAY!

Now you have metal, plastic, rubber, glow in the dark!!!

4 - Construx - The ultimate is plastic bars that hook into little blue things...

Am I the only one that played with these? It was the 'sophisticated' legos, cause, legos were for little kids!!! :) Ok, I had both. This was great because it was alittle bigger, mostly grey which added a 'robitic' feel to EVERYTHING. I use to make replica swords, primarily Thundercats. It heald up pretty good when used as a weapon too!

They had a ton of expansions but I just built my own ideas.

#3 - Weird purple grappling hook looking thing... It looked put a purple 'ninja star' with a rope on it, i think red rope. It looked... GI Joe-ish. I dunno what it went with, probaly got at a ard sale. It had a good 6 foot rope on it. Anything I could throw that on and grapple, I did. It was my secondary weapon when using a Construx sword!

    #2 - Voltron - AND I"LL FORM THE HEAD!

I so loved this toy... I NEVER had one thou...but my friend did, and it was so cool. They all connected into a full size Voltron, then the sword and shield...and the head launched at a VERY high velocity that you could use to take out your enemies with! ... I once found an original 1981 die cast new in box at yard sale for $15, resold for $100 by next day... I was sad but, that's good profit!

1 - Pacman handheld Arcade Cabinet

I use to straight hussle guys at the laundry met at pacman, used the money to pay for the wash! My mother got tired of me bugging for quarters so she bought me a C64 with a pacman cartridge, and that started my computer addiction at age 5.

This is a picture of the one I had, but they had a ton of different variants! This one I've seen around $100 even on ebay. One day i'll find one cheap...and play it... ... then sell it!
